KARACHI, March 10: The defence counsel for Yasin Bawani, who was booked for molestation and murder of his 16-year-old maid, filed on Thursday an application

for acquittal of his client in the case.

The district and sessions judge, East, Zafar Ahmed Khan Sherwani, issued notice to the prosecution for hearing arguments on the acquittal application on March 15.

Yasin Bawani, son of Mohammad Ali, represented by Shahadat Awan, was released after being given bail in the sum of Rs500,000 on Feb 22. Asia was brought to Civil Hospital with fatal burns on Jan 8.
