Musharraf arrives in Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK, March 7: Kyrgyz President Askar Akayev received President Gen Pervez Musharraf on Monday at the airport when he arrived on an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.

Gen Musharraf reviewed the guard of honour by a contingent of the armed forces of Kyrgyzstan.

During the two-day visit, President Musharraf would hold talks with his counterpart on Tuesday. The Pakistani delegation includes Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri, Minister for Education Javed Ashraf Qazi, Minister of State for Information Anisa Zeb Tahirkheli, senators and members of the National Assembly. -APP
