LAHORE, Feb 28: Indian football team will be visiting Pakistan on June 10-20 this year to play a three match series, announced Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) on Monday.

"Indian Football Federation (IFF) has confirmed their team's visit to Pakistan in June through a letter which we received today," said a PFF spokesman. IFF has asked the PFF to confirm the tour so that their (Indian) team should start its preparations for the tour.

The spokesman welcomed the decision of the IFF for sending its team to Pakistan and said it would promote football in the region. "The tour will serve dual purpose: promotion of football and bringing closer the people of both the countries," he added.

He said PFF officials in a recent meeting decided that football ties will be established with other countries of the region. "The sole objective of PFF is to develop football on new lines in Pakistan and to better our ranking at international level," he said. -APP
