NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Feb 24: A man and a woman were killed in Murad Korejo village near Mithiani town on Thursday. Wali Muhammad shot dead his wife Ameena, 25, and Akbar Channo, 40, with the help of Rajab in his house.

The motive behind the double murder is said to be karo-kari. The Fareed Dero police arrested the accused. However, no FIR was lodged till the filing of this report. Meanwhile, two armed men hijacked a motorcycle from Akbar Soomro on the Bhirya-Padidan road on Thursday afternoon.

In another incident, three armed men tried to hijack a motorcycle from Razi and his father Ali Hassan on the Tharushah-Mithiani road. The two were injured by the robbers when they offered resistance.
