PESHAWAR, Feb 24: Pushto art promoters have asked the government to help them organize a show in the UK.

"We have planned to organize a Pushto stage show in London, but the immigration authorities in the UK are delaying clearance for the show," said Shamsur Rehman, a London-based businessman at a news conference here on Thursday.

Flanked by filmmaker Nasim Khan, music director Ali Haidar and singer Baryalai Samadi, he said they had planned to stage a show in London in October last year, but the immigration department was reluctant to issue visas to the members of the team.

Mr Rehman said that there were thousands of Pukhtuns in the UK upon whose insistence they had planned the show.
