PPP, PML-N in alliance for LB polls

SIALKOT, Feb 22: After division of the PML in two groups in Sialkot, the PPP and the PML-N have decided to forge a political alliance in the district for the upcoming local elections.

This was stated by the local leaders of the PML-N and the PPP at a joint meeting held here on Tuesday under the president ship of PML-N central leader and MNA Khwaja Mohammad Asif. PML-N MPA Imran Ashraf, district president Idrees Ahmad Bajwa, Aurang Zeb Shah, PPP district president Malik Naseer Awan and other office-bearers attended the meeting.

The meeting formulated a 12-members committee for launching a joint election campaign in the district for the LB polls. The meeting announced that the PML-N and the PPP would jointly contest the coming polls on the platform of ARD at the local level, besides fielding joint candidates.
