NOWSHERA, May 29: Wapda Chairman Lt-Gen Zulfiqar Ali Khan has said that the government has planned to make water reservoirs on 40 million acres of land with a capacity of 57,000mw power production under the Vision 2025 Programme.

The chief, speaking to newsman during his visit to Nowshera on Tuesday, said provision

of electricity on cheaper rates was the priority of the government.

When asked about the construction of a dam on the Kabul River in Afghanistan, he expressed his inability to answer.

Answering another question, he claimed that Wapda was supplying electricity uninterrupted to the consumers throughout the country.
