GUJRANWALA, Feb 18: The local anti-terrorism court No 1 on Friday continued the hearing of Sialkot jail incident case, and summoned three prosecution witnesses , Inspector Irfanul Haq and sub-inspectors, Rana Muhammad Iqbal and Amjed Ali, for evidence on the next hearing.

The court will record the statements of about 87 witnesses, including those from judiciary and police. The judge, Mujahid Mustaqim, adjourned the case till Feb 24.

All accused, including Gujranwala former DIG Malik Muhammad Iqbal, Sialkot and Gujrat former DPOs Amjed Javed Saleemi, Raja Munawer Hussain, Sialkot jail former superintendent Sakander Hayat, assistant superintendents Akhter Iqbal, Raja Mushtaq, Ghulam Sarwer, Inspector Zulfikar Ali Virk, Elite force officials, Allama Iqbal Memorial Sialkot former MS Dr Firdaus and surgeon Dr Sajjad Ahmad were present in the court.

Meanwhile, anti-terrorism court No 2 also continued the hearing of the murder case of PPP city president Chaudhary Khalid Humayun, and recorded the statement of SI Nawaz Goraya. The judge, Mirza Rafi Zaman, adjourned the case till Feb 23. The accused were present in the court.
