PESHAWAR, Feb 17: The newly-appointed provincial PML information secretary has reiterated to work hard for strengthening the party. "I will try my best to persuade frustrated party workers to come back to the PML ," Saeed Butt remarked on Thursday while speaking at a press conference.

Mr Butt said all office-bearers of the provincial chapter had supported his election to the post of information secretary. Supporting the policies of President Gen Pervez Musharraf, he said the president was committed to the prosperity of the country.

The party, he expressed the hope, would be strengthened in the NWFP through the ongoing drive of membership. He held out assurance that the PML would get maximum seats in the forthcoming local bodies and general election.

"We don't have any personal disputes with any one and the provincial PML chief has powers to change the NWFP set up of the party in the best interest of party," he said.
