PESHAWAR, Feb 11: The Postgraduate Medical Institute is organising a seminar on osteoporosis at a local hotel on Saturday, said a press release.

The one-day seminar would be inaugurated by the NWFP Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah and would be attended, besides orthopaedic surgeons, by prominent gynaecologists and physicians from the four provinces of the country.

There will be two sessions. The afternoon session would start at 3pm and would be presided over by provincial Information Minister Asif Iqbal Daudzai. Besides local orthopaedic surgeons Dr Shahabuddin and Dr Mohammad Arif, experts from other parts of the country would read research papers on osteoporosis and new developments in its treatment.
