BAHAWALPUR, Jan 31: The Tehsil Municipal Administration's sewerage system has collapsed causing inconvenience to the residents in many parts of the city.

The accumulation of sewerage water has been reported from Bund Road in front of Baghdadul Jadid police station, Police Lines Road, Yazman Road, Tibbia College Road, Multan Road, Inside Machli Bazaar, Kotwali police station Kotwali area.

The overflowing gutters have created hindrances in the smooth flow of vehicular traffic and hardships for the pedestrians. It is learnt that the TMA's main disposal work at Lal Bagh is not properly functioning.

Only six of its turbines out of total 26 are functioning. The TMA officials when contacted said that there was no fault in the disposal work adding that its maintenance was being intensified.

WARRANTS: A judicial magistrate of Ahmedpur East issued non-bailable warrants for the arrest of 11 PML-N activists on Monday. As per reports, around 11 PML office bearers had taken out a rally against the government for toppling the Nawaz government at Munir Shaheed Chowk.

Although they were bailed out, they never appeared before court. At this, court issued non-bailable arrest warrants against them after cancelling their previous bails.

EXAMS: Islamia University has announced that the first annual BA/BSc examination, 2005, will commence from March 26. The last date for the submission of admission forms without late fee has been fixed at Feb 5.
