SUI, Jan 28: The law enforcement agencies have tightened security at Sui to protect valuable installations and thwart any attempt by miscreants, said Brigadier Shahjehan of ISPR here on Friday.

Jawans of Frontier Corps (FC) have been deployed in the area to foil the bids of miscreants, who caused damage to Sui Purification Plant between Jan 7 to 12, he told media men who visited Sui purification plant on Friday. He said, 400 acres of land has been acquired for building cantonment and necessary payment has been made.

The planning of the cantonment and acquisition of land was not linked to recent incidents of firing, he said and added, the land was acquired last year in accordance with the Land Acquisition Act. The planning of cantonment, Brig Shahjehan said, will not only ensure security but the area will also be developed. -APP
