MUZAFFARABAD: 2 die in road accident

MUZAFFARABAD, Jan 27: Two people were killed and five others, including a woman and child, were wounded when a car skidded off the road after aheavy snowfall in Poonch district of Azad Kashmir on Thursday, police said.

The car fell some 70 yards down the road near Thorar, 35km on the outskirts of Rawalakot, after the driver had lost control while giving way to another vehicle, a police official told Dawn on telephone from Thorar police station.

The dead were identified as Mahmood, son of Arshad (driver), and Ansar, son of Faiz Ahmed, whereas Sajjad, his wife Sharda, son Bilal, brother Khizar and an unidentified person were wounded.
