QUETTA, Jan 24: A judicial tribunal recorded in Karachi on Monday the statement of a lady doctor who had been reportedly assaulted in Sui and set Jan 27 as the next date of proceeding which would be held in Quetta.

The lady doctor did not appear before the tribunal, headed by Justice Ahmed Khan Lashari, on Jan 17 to record her statement and requested it to extend the date. Later, she moved an application requesting the tribunal to record her statement in Karachi.

Justice Lashari accepted the request and recorded her statement in connection with the incident which occurred in Sui on the night of Jan 2 and 3. The Balochistan government had constituted the tribunal to investigate the criminal assault on the lady doctor and submit its report.
