SUKKUR: Four of a family gunned down

SUKKUR, Jan 24: A man, his wife and their two children were killed and two others were injured by armed men in the Haji Mithal Brohi village in the Manjho Shori police station jurisdiction in Naseerabad district, Balochistan, on Sunday night.

A group of people barged into the house of Mohammad Salah Brohi and opened fire, killing him, his wife, Shahar Bano, son Abdul Majeed, 8, and a daughter and injuring two other children, Imam Bux and Reshma.

The injured were taken to a hospital in Larkana. The reason behind the incident is said to be an enmity between two groups of the Brohi tribe. However, no case was registered till the filing of this report.

WOMAN KILLED: A woman was killed by her husband in the Bagh Pilal village near Shahdadkot on Monday. Hakim Zadi, 30, was washing clothes in her house when her husband, Anwar Ali Pilal, allegedly shot her dead.

It is said that Anwar Ali wanted to marry another woman but his wife was against it. Lal Bux Pilal, a brother of the woman, lodged an FIR against Anwar Ali, Ghulam Rasool, Gulab Khan and Roshan.

ASI KILLED: One policeman was killed and another was injured in an encounter between police and bandits near Shahdadkot on Sunday night. Three bandits deprived one Mohammad Ramzan of his motorcycle at gunpoint and fled. Police followed the bandits and engaged them after covering some distance.

ASI Mohammad Ali Khoso was killed and constable Ghulam Farooq was injured in the exchange of fire. The bandits escaped, taking away the official Kalashnikov of the policeman.
