JACOBABAD: Villager kills two wives

JACOBABAD, Jan 16: A man, Hazoor Bux, allegedly shot dead his two wives Noor Bano and Bhagul near Mubarakpur town, Thul taluka, on Sunday. One of the women tried to save life of the other, who had been dubbed kari, when both came under firing and died.

The accused and his accomplices escaped after the incident. The bodies were taken to the Thul hospital for autopsy. In another incident, a retired bank manager was killed by bandits during a house robbery on Sunday.

About five armed men broke into the house of Noor Ahmed Memon and looted jewellery and other valuables. As Mr Memon and his sons offered resistance, the bandits opened fire as a result Noor Ahmed Memon died on the spot while his two sons, Khalid, 20, and Nisar, 24, wife and daughter-in-law were injured.

The injured were admitted to the Chandka Medical Hospital Larkana. The body was shifted to the Thul hospital for autopsy. In yet another incident, a man was killed and two were seriously injured when some armed motorcyclists opened fire on a crowd near the Garhi Chand road in the jurisdiction of the Abad police on Sunday.

Ali Mohammad, Imdad and Qambar Ali were enjoying a cockfight when three motorcyclists appeared on the scene and opened fire on the crowd, targeting the three aforementioned men.

In consequence, Ali Mohammad was killed on the spot while Imdad and Qambar were seriously wounded. Motive behind the incident was said to be an old enmity. However, no FIR was lodged till the filing of this report.
