COLOMBO, Jan 16: Tamil Tigers supremo Velupillai Prabhakaran will meet visiting Norwegian Foreign Minister Jan Peterson this week, making his first public appearance since a spate of speculations began suggesting that he had been killed in the tsunami disaster.

"The meeting is confirmed. He will be meeting the (Norwegian) foreign minister next Saturday," LTTE spokesman S. Pulidevan said - a week after the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation announced that Mr Prabhakaran was dead.

"We will be raising humanitarian as well as peace related issues," the LTTE spokesman said, adding that the LTTE leader was expected to complain to Oslo that the Lankan military was "intimidating" the Tigers.
