RIYADH, Jan 14: Saudi Arabia said on Friday the peak of this year's Haj pilgrimage will be on Jan 19 - a day earlier than it had previously announced.

The committee charged with deciding the start of this month said in a statement that a mistake had occurred during the sighting of the moon and that the pilgrimage month had actually started on Tuesday, Jan 11 and not January 12.
