SIALKOT: 8 SHOs suspended in Sialkot

SIALKOT, Jan 10: Gujranwala Range DIG Muhammad Altaf Qamar suspended eight SHOs from their service in Sialkot district due to negligence and their failure to arrest proclaimed offenders.

Those suspended are: Hajipura SHO Shehzad Ashraf, Naikapura SHO Syed Mushtaq Hussain Naqvi, Rangpura SHO Muhammad Ayub, Kotwali SHO Raja Muhammad Naeem, Pasrur City SHO Karamat Ali, Pasrur Sadar SHO Waqar Javaid Bhatti, Satrah SHO Ghulam Ghous Cheema and Bambaanwala SHO Akhtar Sultan.

A strict departmental probe has also been initiated against the suspended SHOs under the supervision of the Sialkot DPO. The Sialkot police were facing strong criticism from the local business community, social, political and religious circles on account of alarming rise in heinous crimes.

Meanwhile, Sialkot DPO Usama Mumtaz Raja appointed Rana Tariq Nadeem as Hajipura SHO, Sufi Muhammad Sarwar as Sabz Peer SHO, Ghulam Akbar as Uggoki SHO, Rana Muhammad Afzal as Badiana SHO, Rana Zahid as Sambrial SHO, Asif Haneef Joyia as Satrah SHO, Faiz Ahmad as Pasrur City SHO, Muhammad Azam as Bambaanwala SHO, Malik Attaullah as Sialkot Cantonment SHO and Tahir Shah as Rangpura SHO. While Muhammad Riaz Cheema was appointed as incharge of the Sialkot licensing branch with immediate effect.
