Country on path of prosperity: Aziz

ISLAMABAD, Jan 6: The country is on the path of prosperity and people will soon feel the results of the government's successful economic policies, says Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.

He was talking to parliamentarians who had called on him here on Thursday. Mr Aziz said that providing of basic facilities to the common man was one of the government's main priorities. The government, he said, had been focussing on raising the people's standard of life.

Providing clean drinking water, basic health facilities and job opportunities were priority areas of his government, he said. Those who called on the prime minister were Tehmina Dasti, Riaz Fatiyana, Azhar Yousafzai and Zafar Iqbal Waraich. -APP
