Aziz Khan calls on Shujaat

LAHORE, Dec 30: Pakistan's High Commissioner to India Aziz Ahmad Khan called on PML President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain at his residence here on Thursday.

Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and PML Secretary General Senator Mushahid Hussain were also present on the occasion.

The PML president said direct contacts between the people of Pakistan and India would play a pivotal role in the making the dialogue process successful at the government level.

He said the exchange of delegations of political parties and parliamentarians would help understand each others' point of view. He said he would visit India in March next year and talk to the Indian political leaders on the issues of political and socio-cultural importance which would produce far-reaching results.

Mr Khan said the chief minister's recent visit to India had proved fruitful regarding improvement in the two countries relations. He said the visit had provided strong base of political and socio-cultural relations between the two countries.
