GUJRANWALA, Dec 28: Dacoits looted the house of a landlord, two shops and took away a car and wagon in five strikes in and around the city here on Tuesday.

Reports said 15 outlaws stormed into the house of Aftab Ahmad in Kasoki by scaling the boundary wall.

They held hostage the inmates and took away cash worth Rs300,000, gold jewellery and other valuables worth Rs1.2 million. Two bandits entered the shops of Rehan Ashfaq and Irfan Ahmad in Bhutta plaza and made off with cash totalling Rs100,000.

Three outlaws intercepted cloth trader Muhammad Rauf and his driver Muhammad Latif when they were on way to city market by their car (LRH-7726). They looted Rs25,000, a mobile phone and drove away with their vehicle. Four highwaymen deprived Ghulzar Ahmad of his wagon (GAL-8506) when he was on way to Naushera Virkan from Ladhewala Warriach village.
