Sri Lanka's match washed out

WELLINGTON, Dec 23: Sri Lanka's preparations for their five-match one-day series against New Zealand suffered a further setback on Thursday when their warm-up match against Northern Districts in Hamilton was washed out.

Tuesday's opening tour game against Central Districts at New Plymouth was also affected by the weather. The home side made 220 for seven from 49 overs before Sri Lanka's reply was cut short by persistent showers after they had reached 20 for two in five overs.
