ISLAMABAD: UC by-poll results notified

ISLAMABAD, Dec 21: The Election Commission on Tuesday announced results of by-elections of three nazims and five naib nazims held on Dec 15 in Punjab. Ihteshamul Haq Goraya was elected unopposed the nazim of the Boopra Kalan union council in Gujranwala, it said.

Syed Mohammad Mueen and Nazir Ahmed were declared nazims of Jundwala, Bahawalnagar, and People's Colony, Multan, union councils, respectively. Mohammad Yousaf, Mohammad Latif Malik, Aamir Hussain Shah, Mujahid Hussain Saqlain and Sadaqat Hussain Khan were declared successful as naib nazims of the 14/1-AL, Okara; People's Colony, Multan; Glass Factory, Multan; City-I, Toba Tek Singh and TMA City, Faisalabad, union councils, respectively.
