86 players invited for U-19 trials

LAHORE, Dec 14: Eighty-six Probables of all nine regions have been called to appear in the National under-19 cricket trials to be held at three cities, Multan, Faisalabad and Islamabad starting from Dec 19.

Trials are being held to finalise the Pakistan U-19 team for the next month's home series against Sri Lanka. The probables were selected on their performance in the ongoing U-19 tournament.

They belong to Karachi, Hyderabad, Multan and Quetta regions and will appear at Qasim Stadium, Multan on Dec 19 and 20. Those from Lahore, Faisalabad and Peshawar are to appear at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad on Dec 23 and 24.

The national selection committee will watch the probables of remaining two regions -Rawalpindi and Sialkot - on Dec 21 and 22, during their four-day final of the tournament to be held at Diamond Cricket Club ground, Islamabad from Dec 21-24. The final trials will be held at Qadhafi Stadium, Lahore on Dec 26.

FAISALABAD: Abdul Manan, Ali Raza, Babar Hussain, Shahzad Ahmad, Tanzel-ur-Rehman, Ghulam Dastgir, Naveed Haider, Muhammad Talha, Muhammad. Khan, Muhammad Kashif.

HYDERABAD: Adnan Brohi, Ali Agha, Naimatullah, Shoaib Laghari, Kashif Bhatti, Noman Ali, Naveed Raza.

LAHORE: Abid Ali, Adnan Raza, Ahmad Butt, Jehangir Mirza, Nasir Jamshed, Muhammad Shahzad, Raheel Younus, Jamshed Ahmad, Wasim Ashraf, Azfar Zaidi, Zulqarnain Haider, Ali Raza Dar.

KARACHI: Fahad Iqbal, Fawad Alam, Waqas Haroon, Asadullah Sumrai, Uzair-ul-Haq, Saeed Khan, Anwar Ali, Ali Asad, Noman Alvi, Bahram Khan, Muhammad Fahim.
