SIALKOT: 370 teachers recruited

SIALKOT, Dec 7: The district government has recruited some 370 educators to fill the vacant posts in various government schools. District Nazim Naeem Javaid and DCO Tahir Raza Naqvi told newsmen here on Tuesday that all appointments had been made on merit.

According to the record of the education department, 11 female teachers have been appointed in various boy schools.

Rubina Sadiq, Razia Sharif and Rukhsana Kausar have been appointed at the Government Boys Elementary School, Chak Aadil; Shumaila Tabassum and Samina Sana at the Government Boys Elementary School, Chhangi; Uzma Shehzadi at the Government Boys Elementary School, Ismailkey; Asia Ashiq, Ishrat Farzana, Khalid Parveen, Uzma Gilani and Shazia Akhtar at the Government Boys Elementary School, Pakka Garha. Some of the teachers are reluctant to join their duties.

On the other hand, Naeem Ejaz of Daska has been appointed at a girls school - the Government Girls High School, Kanwaan Lit, Daska. The EDO (education) authorities said all teachers had been asked to join their duties with immediate effect.

ARD MEETING: The Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy will hold an anti-government public meeting at Sialkot city on Dec 20. This was stated by PPP MPA Tahir Akhtar Awan while talking to newsmen here on Tuesday.
