KOHAT, Dec 2: The telecommunication link between Kohat and the rest of the country remained suspended for 18 hours when unidentified saboteurs reportedly damaged the fibre optics cable near Darra Adam Khel on Wednesday evening, it was learnt.

All the cell phones and internet services also remained dead from 5pm on Wednesday till 12pm Thursday.

The PTCL staff informed the Jangle Khel police that the fibre optics cable had been damaged near the semi-autonomous tribal area of Darra Adam Khel on Wednesday night. After locating the site of damage the engineers started repair work and restored the link at 12pm on Thursday.
