ISLAMABAD, Nov 28: Sangpa Tamang of the Asian Development Bank on Sunday won the gross crown in the annual Asia Pacific Golf tournament at the Islamabad Club with a score of 83.

The net honours in the tournament went to Lee Kyoung Do of the South Korean Embassy who had a score of net 62.

The Asia Pacific Golf Association (APGA) comprises about 80 members including about 14 ambassadors of various countries, a number of armed forces attaches, diplomats and officials of various international organisations in Pakistan.

In addition to the overall winners, prizes were also given to winners of Category A (handicap 0-19), Category B (handicap 20-28), nearest to pin (2 nos) and longest drive (2 nos).

The Category A winners were Cap Mohammad Noh of Malaysian Embassy (winner), Shi Hua Ping (first runner-up) and Zhang Yi Ming of Chinese Embassy (second runner-up). The successful Category B golfers were Morni of Brunei Embassy (winner), He Mr. Jeon Bou Guan, South Korean Ambassador (first runner-up) and Lui Kai of Chinese Embassy (second runner-up).

The prizes for nearest to pin were bagged by Zhang Yi Ming and Brig (Retd) Pervez Khan while the longest drive prize was taken by Col Kim Joe Choen of South Korean Embassy and Pakistan's Khalid Malik.
