DERA GHAZI KHAN, Nov 28: The Pakistan People's Party staged a rally in Choti Zaireen on Sunday in the wake of week-long celebrations on the release of Asif Ali Zardari.

Party workers also burnt an effigy of former president Farooq Leghari, and chanted slogans against the military government. Mr Zardari was granted bail in the BMW case. Sweets and rice were also distributed among the participants in the rally.

The rally was attended, among others, by party district president Khwaja Mudassar, district secretary-general Aalim Khan Khetran, Khalil Birmani, Behram Buzdar, Manzoor Khan, Rauf Khan Lond, Safdar Shah, Kashif Khan, Munshi Ghulam Sarwar, Rana Sher Baz, Allah Nawaz Babar and Sher Mohammed Khalol.
