RAWALPINDI, May 25: The administration has decided to ban Tongas plying on different routes of the city to streamline the traffic and improve the sanitary conditions of roads.

There are around 540 registered Tongas while a same number is plying illegally, sources said.

Owing to their slow movement, the Tongas create hindrance in the smooth flow of traffic besides making the roads filthy.

The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) has announced an incentive package for the Tonga owners.
