MIRPURKHAS, Nov 24: District Nazim Pir Shafqat Hussain Shah Jilani has stressed the need for strict monitoring to eradicate polio from the district and added that hard work and national spirit was also required for achieving this goal.

He was presiding over a meeting of the polio eradication committee on Wednesday. Representative of WHO, officers of revenue, police, education and health departments attended the meeting which reviewed arrangements for the campaign, scheduled for Nov 30 to Dec 2.

He directed the officials of the health department to apprise him about results of the campaign in detail after its conclusion so that he could analyse it 4.

WHO representatives Ms Violet and Dr Akhlaq Khan told the meeting about details of the previous campaign and urged elected representatives, NGOs and officers to play their due role in making the campaign successful.
