FAISALABAD, Nov 23: Local PPP leaders have welcomed the release of Asif Ali Zardari and termed it a success of the judicial system.

PPP Punjab Secretary General and MPA Rana Aftab Ahmed Khan, District President Rana Farooq Saeed Khan, City President Mehmoodul Hassan Dar and other office-holders said that the movement for the restoration of democratic system and revival of the constitution would gain a momentum after the release of the spouse of Benazir Bhutto.

They said that Asif Ali Zardari declared himself a man of commitment who refused to strike any deal with the government during his years long detention. They said that a number of fake cases had been filed against him. PPP leaders said that now PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto would return to Pakistan and lead the party in the coming elections.

JHANG: People's Party workers celebrated the release on bail of Asif Zardari here on Tuesday. Enthusiastic and overjoyed activists started gathering at the residence of district PPP general secretary soon after the news of release of Mr Zardari was telecast from various TV channels. They hugged and congratulated each other.
