FAISALABAD, Nov 22: The wife and two minor daughters of Osama Nazir, his alleged associate Qari Allah Nawaz and his two brothers-in-law were released from custody by the police and secret agency personnel here on Sunday night. However, sources claimed Osama Nazir had been shifted to Islamabad for interrogation.

According to details, Nazir Ahmed alias Adil Ahmed and known as Osama Nazir, with Rs2 million head money was rounded up along with his wife, Zainab Bibi and two minor daughters from a seminary adjacent to Jamia Zikriya Mosque, Civil Lines, on Wednesday night.

After Osama's arrest, the police also arrested Qari Allah Nawaz and his two brothers-in-law Imran (11) and Shaukat Ali (14) from a mosque in Bhaiwala, Nishatabad on the same day. Osama Nazir was wanted in murderous attacks on President Gen. Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz as well as killings in different churches.

When this correspondent visited the house of Allah Nawaz, his wife said he (the Qari) along with her brothers had left Faisalabad on early Monday morning for Bahawalpur to meet some relatives.

Zainab Bibi along with her daughters also left Faisalabad for Mailsi on Monday. Sources said Qari Nawaz and his brothers-in-law were taken into custody for providing shelter to Osama Nazir.
