SHEIKHUPURA, Nov 12: Four people were killed and 20 others sustained injuries, four of them serious, in different incidents in and around the city on Friday. Maqbool Zeeshan (14) was shot dead over an old enmity by Rao Kashif and his four accomplices in Fateh Kalass, some 25kms from here.

Bhekhi police have registered a case against the accused. In Mominpura locality, Saima (6) was knocked down and killed by a speeding tractor-trolley. She was crossing the road.

Police have instituted a case against the absconding driver. Allah Ditta along with his wife Iqbal Bibi was going by his motorcycle when a speeding tractor-trolley hit them on GT Road near Sadhoke, some 45kms from here.

As a result, the woman died instantly while her husband suffered serious injuries. Muridke Sadar police are investigating. On GT Road near Manooabad, a speedy wagon rammed into a motorcycle-rickshaw. Consequently, Qasim (7) died on the spot while his mother and five others sustained serious injuries. They were shifted to a nearby hospital.

Muridke Sadar police are looking into the matter. An oil-tanker collided with a wagon while negotiating a sharp turn at Sheikhupura Chowk near Muridke. As a result, 13 passengers received injuries. While Ramzan, Shabbir, Karamat, Ilyas sustained serious wounds. They were removed to Lahore and Muridke hospitals. Muridke police are going into the matter.
