KARACHI, Oct 22: US Ambassador Nancy J. Powell held her farewell meeting with Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad at Governor's House on Friday. The governor appreciated her time spent in Pakistan as the US Ambassador and expressed goodwill aspirations. The meeting discussed various issues concerning health, education, economic and investment sectors.

They both agreed that these were the highly potential areas, which could be exploited through the cooperation of private and public sectors. Ms Powell highlighted the US cooperation and concern regarding health and education in Pakistan.

The governor apprised her that various local and foreign investors including Americans were expressing practical interest in making investment in various development projects. He said that foreign investors were also working in joint ventures and other projects. The meeting was also attended by US Council-General in Karachi Douglas C. Rohn. -PPI
