Ruet-i-Hilal committee meets today

ISLAMABAD, Oct 14: A meeting of the central Ruet-i-Hilal committee for the Ramazan moon will be held on Friday in Peshawar.

The Minister of State for Religious Affairs, Dr Amir Liaqat Hussain, will attend the meeting.

Meetings of zonal and district Ruet-i-Hilal committees will also be held on Friday. The minister told a television channel that efforts were being made to meet the aspiration of the nation to celebrate Ramazan and Eidul Fitr on same days throughout the country. He said four astronomers would be included in the committee in future. -APP
