Nicol, Power to clash on 28th

LONDON, Oct 13: Peter Nicol and Jonathan Power will go head-to-head in a 1,000 Pounds winner-takes-all challenge match at the world famous Lambs Club, London, on Oct 28.

Probably the greatest rivals in modern squash, the pair first met in Toronto almost 9 years ago. Nicol came out on top 3-1 on that occasion, but ascendancy has ebbed and flowed since then.

They have played 38 times with Nicol edging ahead 21-17 when Power was forced to retire at last May's Brit Super Series finals. Since then PSA have shortened scoring system and Power has expressed a new found appetite for the game, so battle continues for who has bragging rights in retirement.

Once described by former world champion Jahangir Khan of Pakistan has the most famous squash club in the World, Lambs boasts 9 courts and a show-court that squeezed in over 200 spectators for National League final two years ago. -PPI
