GUJRANWALA, Oct 8: Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat and Communication Minister Chaudhry Zaheeruddin have said that terrorists involved in bomb blasts will be dealt with an iron hand.

Talking to newsmen at the Circuit House here on Friday, they said that any attempt of destabilising the peaceful atmosphere of the country would be foiled with the support of people.

Punjab Food Minister Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal, Education Minister Mian Imran Masood, Health Minister Dr Tahir Javed, Social Welfare Minister Nasim Lodhi, provincial parliamentary secretary Ms Zile Huma Usman and other office bearers of the ruling party were also present on the occasion.

The legislators gathered here to monitor the election campaign of ruling party aspirant Engineer Ashraf Butt for bypolls on PP-93. Meanwhile, MMA aspirant Allama Ashraf Jalali alleged that the ruling party ministers had set up their camp office in Gujranwala for rigging.

BURNT: A man burnt alive his wife on Friday for not allowing him second marriage at Ghakkhar town. Sajid wanted to marry with 'R' of Gujranwala, but deceased Uzma did not allow him to do so.

In a fit of rage, Sajid sprinkled petrol on her and then put her to torch. She sustained serious burn injuries and died at Mayo Hospital, Lahore. The deceased was the mother of two children. Police have registered a case against the accused and are investigating.
