HYDERABAD, Oct 8: District Nazim Dr Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman has said that development schemes of the areas where basic amenities are not available will be completed through registered Citizens' Community Boards which should send their projects to the district government.

He said that the boards were supposed to arrange 20 per cent of the cost of the projects and the remaining 80 per cent would be provided by the district government. The nazim was speaking at a meeting of the chairmen and secretaries of the registered and unregistered CCBs at his secretariat here on Thursday.

He said that the district government had earmarked an amount of Rs40 million for completing the development schemes in cooperation with the boards. He asked the chairmen and secretaries of the CCBs to submit their development schemes to the district government immediately after Eidul Fitr.

He said that after the schemes were finalized, tenders would be floated in a transparent manner.
