MIRPURKHAS, Oct 7: Office-bearers and workers of the Pakistan Telecom Employees Union, Mirpurkhas, took out a procession from the Satellite town digital telephone exchange here on Thursday to press for their demands.

Speaking to the protesters, union leaders urged the PTCL administration to accept their charter of demands which was based on reality and included genuine demands. They warned the PTCL management that if their demands were not accepted by Oct 14, they would stop the telecommunication system the following day.

Led by union representatives Mohammad Yousuf Chandio, Mohammad Rahim Nohri, Lala Iqbal and others, the protesters marched through main thoroughfares of the city to assemble at the Post Office Chowk.
