PESHAWAR, Oct 5: Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk has expressed concern over non-observance of court timings by judicial officers and asked them to be punctual.

During a surprise visit to the sessions court and lower courts in the judicial complex at 8:15am on Tuesday, the chief justice expressed displeasure over non-observance of court hours and the dress code by some judicial officers.

He went around various offices of courts to check attendance. He expressed concern over a delayed start of court work by some judicial officers though they were present in the court.

Similar visits were paid by judges of the high court and members of the inspection team to lower courts across the province. The chief justice is considering taking action against those judicial officers who were either found absent, or sitting in retiring rooms or improperly dressed, a press release said.

He directed judicial officers to strictly observe court hours to redress public grievances without delay.
