QUETTA, Sept 27: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Mohammad Yusuf said on Monday that all resources would be utilized for curbing terrorism and subversive activities in the province and the government would fulfil its responsibility of maintaining peace and order at all costs.

"All attempts to disturb law and order in the province would be foiled through strict action," he said while talking to delegations of the Balochistan Shia Conference, traders and victims of the Sarki Road fire.

He said a cell comprising people from all walks of life, including political and tribal leaders, would be set up to help eliminate terrorism. He said the government was taking all possible steps to maintain law and order and it would ensure protection of life and property of the people to provide a conducive atmosphere for investment in the province. He said his government was adopting effective measures for the protection of people.

The chief minister said promotion of sectarian harmony, brotherhood and unity was needed to foil the designs of the elements that wanted to destroy the peace of the province through terrorist activities.

He said all the tribes and nationalities in the province enjoyed cordial relations with each other. He said people had shown patience despite tragic incidents in the province.
