GAZA, Sept 19: At least two Palestinian militants, members of Hamas' armed wing Izel Dein al Qassam, were killed in what appeared to be a car bomb explosion in Gaza City, Palestinian sources said on Sunday.

Witnesses said the two militants were driving a car at Lababidi street in a northern neighbourhood of Gaza City when a bomb exploded.

Residents of Gaza city said they heard a huge explosion. Several bystanders were injured. Sources said the explosion was apparently the result of a bomb planted inside the car. -dpa
