LAHORE, Sept 17: Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi has said that a journalists' colony spreading over 1,000 kanals will be constructed at Harbanspura.

According to an official handout issued here on Friday, the chief minister said this while talking to a representative delegation of journalists which called on him under the leadership of Lahore Press Club president Arshad Ansari.

Pervaiz Elahi said that he would inaugurate the colony within a month where all basic facilities of life would be provided keeping in view modern requirements during construction. He said the government accorded great importance to the press sector and was paying vigorous attention for solution to problems faced by journalists.

He directed the administration to remove all hurdles within one month regarding acquisition of land for the colony so that the project could be practically implemented according to the schedule.
