1000 personnel to guard Indian team

KARACHI, Sept 16: more than 1000 security personnel will be guarding the stadium, hotel and India hockey team during their three-day stay in Karachi for the opening Test of eight match series against Pakistan.

The presentation for security arrangements for the Indian team inside and around Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium on Sept 24 was given to President of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) General Aziz Khan.

Inspector General Sindh Police Syed Kamal Shah gave the briefing about the elaborate security arrangements to be made from the arrival of Indian team at Quaid-e-Azam International Airport till their departure for Quetta on Sept 26.

He said a top class security will be in place for the visiting team and officials. Indian hockey squad is due to arrive here on Sept 23 and play the opener of eight-match series at HCP on Sept 24. -APP
