KARACHI: Two killed in road accidents

KARACHI, Sept 3: Two persons, including an 11-year-old boy, died in road accidents in different parts of the city on Friday.

Police said that Mohammad Ilyas, 35, was going on motorcycle when he was knocked down to death by a speeding truck in Bilal Colony Korangi. Following the accident, the truck driver escaped.

The victim's body was shifted to JPMC for legal formalities. In Steel Town, a boy was hit by a speeding vehicle on the National Highway. Police said that Saddam, 11, was crossing the highway when he was hit and injured by a speeding vehicle.

The boy was taken to the nearby private hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. Later, his body was shifted to the JPMC for legal formalities.

BODY FOUND: The body of a woman was recovered from the sea within the Docks police jurisdiction. Police said that the body, which was a few days old, was shifted to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem.
