ISLAMABAD, Aug 3: People seeking United States' visa can chat directly with the embassy officials for the first time through the Internet on Wednesday.

"Students, visitors, tourists, job-seekers, people seeking medical treatment and people with temporary or permanent status of stay in the US will find timely, official answers to their questions through this live, online interaction," said a US Embassy news release.

This would be the first chat of the "First Wednesday Web Chat" programme being launched by the embassy in Islamabad. The related questions can be answered by logging to http://chat.islamabad.usembassy.gov between 4pm to 5pm

The officials would answer questions and explain US visa applications procedures and related issues. The embassy would hold this programme on the first Wednesday of every month. -APP
