QUETTA, Aug 2: Balochistan Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani has urged all tribal and political figures to cooperate with the authorities in controlling subversive acts.
Condemning the recent attack in Khuzdar that claimed six lives, the governor, in a statement issued on Monday, asserted that its objective was to sabotage political and development process in the province but the elements behind it would not succeed in their designs.
He said the government would not forgive the terrorists under any circumstances. He expressed condolence with the bereaved families.
CM: Chief Minister Jam Mohammad Yousuf during a visit to Khuzdar on Monday directed police and other law-enforcement agencies to arrest the people involved in the attack and take effective security measures in the area.
Presiding over a meeting in Khuzdar, he said the investigation into the attack should be expanded. Jam Yousuf said the government would not forgive the people involved in the attacks irrespective of their status or aims.
He said the government would fulfil its responsibility of safeguarding the interest of the people. The meeting was informed about the steps taken to apprehend the attackers.
