PESHAWAR, July 30: Girls got the top two positions in the intermediate part-II annual examination according to the results declared on Friday by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.

Aliena Badshah, roll No.50394, of the Jinnah College for Women topped with 977 marks. Sara Rehmat, roll No.60542, of the Qurtaba College, Hayatabad, got the second position with 960 marks and Mohammad Adil, roll No.53162 of the Islamia College stood third with 955 marks.

Of 11,911 students who appeared as regular candidates in the examination, 8,143 were declared successful, whereas 2,999 of the 11,234 private candidates succeeded. The percentage of successful regular candidates was 68.37 and for private students it was 26.7 per cent.

Aliena Badshah got the first position in the pre-medical group. The top three positions in the pre-engineering group went to the Islamia College. In the general science group, Sara Rehmat stood first. In the humanities group, Samia Anwar, roll No.65230 of the Jinnah College for Women got the first position with 891 marks.
