KARACHI, July 25: The president of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, Sindh, MNA Maulana Asadullah Bhutto said that the MMA would not allow anyone to change Hudood Ordinance and blasphemy laws, as any such change would be against Quran and Sunnah.

He was speaking at a seminar on "Changes in Tahaffuz-i-Namus-i-Risalat and their impact", organized by the Islamic Lawyers Movement here on Sunday.

The MMA leader said that among others it was the responsibility of lawyers to play their role to resist bids of changing Islamic laws. He alleged that the government was acting on the US agenda to secularize Pakistan.

Mr Bhutto alleged that the groups and individuals, opposing Hudood Ordinance had no arguments, but they wanted to repeal Tahaffuz-i-Namus-i-Risalat in any way. Ghulam Qadir Jatoi and Abdul Waheed of the lawyers movement also spoke. - PPI
